Mission
MailLighter was created to make cleaning up outgoing emails easier. It makes digital sustainability practical, measurable, and accessible. We're building the simplest possible tool, focused on one specific lever: reducing email weight and making the savings achieved actionable.
Approach
- Open by default. Source code on GitHub under MIT License. Methodology published openly.
- Privacy first. No email content ever transmitted, in any version, in any mode.
- Sustainability seriously. Methodology aligned with GHG Protocol, ADEME, ESRS E1. Independent peer review planned for Q2 2026.
